About the Asia Marketing Federation (AMF)

Asia Marketing Federation (AMF) is a collaboration platform for all the marketing associations in Asia. Originally founded in 1991 as Asia Pacific Marketing Federation (APMF), it evolved into AMF in 2007.

AMF’s critical mission is to effectively promote the interests of marketing in Asia.

Today, AMF boasts a membership of 16 national marketing associations from countries in the Asian region. They are Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

  1. The Asian Marketing Forum 2018, and the events in conjunction with the Asian Marketing Forum 2018, namely the AMF (Asian Marketing Federation) Marketplace session, organised by the Marketing Institute of Singapore (“MIS”) is hereinafter collectively known as the “Events” or individually known as the “Event”.
  2. MIS and its agents and/or employees shall not be liable for any death, personal injury (unless such death or personal injury was caused by the negligence of MIS or its agent and employees), loss or damage, however caused during any of the Event(s), nor will it be liable for any complaint, claim, refund, or exchange for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to, cancellation or postponement of any of the Event(s).
  3. All registrants voluntarily assume all risks and dangers incidental to the event whether occurring prior to, during or subsequent to the actual event, including any death, personal injury, loss, damage or liability.
  4. MIS may alter, add, withdraw or substitute speakers, in the event of death or sickness of any of the selected speakers.
  5. MIS may alter, add, withdraw or substitute the advertised details for any of the Event(s), seating arrangements and audience capacity without prior notice.
  6. MIS may postpone, cancel, interrupt or stop any of the Event(s) due to adverse weather conditions, dangerous situations, war, geo-political or any political turmoil and/or disturbance, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control.
  7. Registration fees are non-refundable, subject to Clause 8 below.
  8. Refunds are granted only if any of the Event(s) has been cancelled. Refunds are not applicable to postponed performances, unless MIS decides to do so at its discretion.
  9. In the event that any of the Event(s) is postponed or cancelled, a Postponement Publicity Notice or a Cancellation Publicity Notice (“Notice”) shall be placed in the event website and communicated through email and SMS by MIS.
  10. In the event where refunds are applicable, all refunds are to be made within one month after the date of Notice.
  11. In the event that any of the Event(s) is postponed or cancelled, MIS shall not be held liable for any expenses, including but not limited to travel reservations such as flight expenses, accommodation expenses, or any other expenses, arising out of or in connection with any of the Event(s), incurred by any registrants.
  12. MIS reserves the right without refund or compensation, to refuse admission to any person who is not properly attired, whose conduct is disorderly or unbecoming or poses a threat to security.
  13. All registrants agree to submit to any search for any prohibited items, including but not limited to weapons, controlled, dangerous and illegal substances and any recording devices.
  14. Singapore law shall govern the registration process of the Events and all registrants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
